I have been to the Barossa Chateau twice already and going again, I just love this place. The antiques are simply stunning so much history. Unfortunately the roses were not in bloom each time I have been there but I can imagine how beautiful they would be when they are in bloom. The staff are very friendly and I love the soaps they sell, the wines are pretty good also. They serve High Tea, we liked the Devonshire Tea."TripAdvisor
This beautiful chateau is about an hour’s drive from Adelaide. We went for high tea and a tour of the Antiques Gallery, which was very impressive. The guide was very helpful and gave us a rundown on the remarkable Hermann Thumm and his wife who built up the collection. High tea was delicious and included a glass of champagne, both savoury and sweet things and coffee. They were even kind enough to replace some of the sweet treats with fresh fruit salad after learning that one of us had dietary concerns. We must go back late next Spring when the 30,000 roses in the gardens will be at their best."TripAdvisor
