The museum has gathered some of the world's most unique and unusual opals including the show's centrepiece, the Virgin Rainbow - an opal that refracts amazing colours and on its own is worth over a million dollars. They've transformed the northern foyer into a representation of the ancient seas where opal formations originated, have recreated an underground opal mine and have produced a informative and interactive displays.
